1. When ordering more than one locking system will they come keyed alike or keyed differently?

They will be keyed alike, but it is your choice. The LCD mounts, our cable kits and our maximum tray lock systems can all be keyed using the same key code patterns. You have control as to whether you operate under one, or many, key code patterns to unlock your BMS security devices. The same key code patterns work in each of our security systems. Subsequent orders can be keyed to match your existing security devices.

2. Can I get security cables at different length?

Yes, custom length cables can be made for a small additional charge. You can have them cut short enough to prevent equipment from falling off of a movable cart or long enough so that you can tie together multiple pieces of equipment.

3. Why should I buy an adjustable maximum security device for my computer when I can buy a non-adjustable device and save money?

You will save money on a standard non-adjustable device, however, your computer will not last forever and you will eventually need to replace your current computer with another computer which in all likelihood will not be the same dimensions of your current computer. You save money in the long run by assigning an adjustable security device to a workstation rather than standard security device to a specific computer.

The very high bonding (VHB) foam tape that is used on our cable plates, side loc’s , disk loc’s and adhesive maximum security devices is rated at 50lbs per square inch. On our standard size cable plate that equals 700 lbs of holding strength. Usually the equipment breaks or the laminate is pulled off of the desk before the bond breaks from the foam tape.

The glue that we provide for attaching our patented flex pad is an industrial grade of cyanoacrylate (super glue). When the surfaces are prepared properly and the flex pad is held firmly during the one to two minute curing phase, the flex pad should never be able to be removed without the plastic of the equipment or the laminate of the desk breaking away first.

We can usually build and ship a customized device in 4 weeks or less depending on whether the computer is a standard rectangular shaped box or it is more of an all in one type of computer similar to many of the Apple computers.
